We see patients from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at all clinics, and from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday at our Downtown and Pediatric clinics. To schedule an appointment, please call 210-222-0333. We try to accommodate our patients for same day visits. We ask you to first call the appointment number.
Our telephone operators are available to answer your calls and assist you from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8:30 a.m. to Noon on Saturday. For routine calls such as refills and future appointments, it is best to call during the afternoon hours when the phone lines are not as busy.
Should your doctor have a full schedule, you may be given the choice of seeing another one of our doctors, a Physician Assistant, or a Nurse Practitioner. You will be given a time to come in, but if there is a delay, we ask you to please be patient with us. We will make every effort to expedite your doctor visit once we take care of the appointments ahead of you.
Please bring your insurance card to each appointment. We will verify your insurance and personal information at each visit. This is a very important part of your visit. We need accurate information in your record should we need to get in touch with you. Please tell us of any changes in your telephone number, address and insurance since your last visit.
You are responsible for paying co-payments and any outstanding balance at the time of your visit. In addition, you will be responsible for any services or items that are denied as “not a covered benefit.” We accept cash, checks, VISA and Master Card.

Emergency Care
One of our Doctors can be reached 24 hours a day by calling 210-222-0333. Calls after hours should be for emergencies and urgent matters only, and will route through our answering service. If it is a life-threatening emergency – call 911.
Telephone Calls
Please call our office if you have any questions regarding your condition, medications or treatments. Our telephone operators are trained to take your message or forward your call to your doctor’s nurse. If she is busy at the time, you will get her voice mail. Please leave a message with your name, phone number and reason for the call. She will return your call before 2 p.m. if you called in the morning or by 5 p.m. if you called in the afternoon. Urgent calls will be handled immediately.
Prescription Refills
Please call 2 or 3 days before your prescriptions expire. Refills will be called within 24 hours. (We are unable to call in refills to mail order pharmacies. We can, however, give you a prescription for you to mail.) Please do not call for prescription refills after hours.
For your convenience, we have a blood drawing station for lab work at our office. We do not run the tests in our office. The laboratories will bill your insurance for the test done. We draw blood from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at all of our clinics, and from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at our
Downtown Clinic at 740 S. Alamo St. Please bring your lab sheet and insurance card when your doctor requests blood work.
Please notify us in advance if your insurance requires you to use a specific contracted lab or x-ray facility. We are not responsible for any lab work or x-rays sent to a facility outside of our network.
Your insurance company may require you to obtain an authorized referral before seeing a specialist. If you are referred to a specialist, your doctor will request the referral from our referral coordinator. Referrals are processed in 2-3 days.
